• 30 new clients were added during the quarter by Infosys and its subsidiaries
• Gross addition of 5,997 employees (net 2,772) for the quarter by Infosys and its subsidiaries
• 103,078 employees as on December 31, 2008 for Infosys and its subsidiaries

Infosys reports Q2 results*:
Amidst the global economic crisis Infosys Technologies posted a 10 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 1,432 crore (Rs 14.32 billion) for the second quarter of FY 09 as against Rs 1,302 crore (Rs 13.02 billion) in previous quarter. Infosys revenues went up by 11.6 per cent to Rs 5,418 crore (RS 54.18 billion) from Rs 4,854 crore (Rs 48.54 billion), (QoQ).

Post Effects for the Quarter ended December 31, 2008:
· Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 22.85 points, or 0.25%, to 9,132.90.
· The stock hit a high of Rs 1192.10 and a low of Rs 1101 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 2017 on 2 June 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 1040 on 10 October 2008.
· On BSE, 2.63 lakh shares were traded in the counter. The stock had an average daily volume of 3.35 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
· The company's current equity is Rs 286.32 crore
· Infosys now expects 27.6% growth in earnings per share at Rs 101.30 for FY 2009, revising upwards from Rs 100.51 projected earlier. The company now expects 29.1% to 30.3% growth in revenue to between Rs 21552 crore to Rs 21757 crore for FY 2009, revising upwards from an earlier projected 27.7% to 30.2% growth.
